Scheduling in a group chat fails for a specific reason: everyone answers a different question. One person replies with a day, another with a time, a third with 'any evening except Thursday'. Nothing lines up because nothing was asked the same way.
The trick is to let each person mark all the times they can do, rather than picking one. Overlap then does the work for you — the slot with the most ticks is the answer, and you can see who is missing from it.
Create a Find a Time decision in QuickPoll. Add the candidate slots — a few evenings, or a couple of weekends. Share the link into WhatsApp. Each person taps every slot that works for them. QuickPoll shows the best time for the group as votes arrive.
A WhatsApp poll gives one tap per person and no sense of partial availability. A link lets people select several options, change their mind later, and answer without installing anything. It also works for the people in the group who are on Android, iPhone or desktop.
The real delay is usually three people who have not replied. Rather than @-ing them repeatedly in the chat, you can see exactly who is outstanding and nudge once.
