Where should we eat? Settle it with a group poll
The restaurant debate drags on because nobody wants to choose for everyone. A poll takes the decision out of any one person's hands, and a ranked vote finds the place most people are happy with.
A fast way to choose
- Shortlist 3 or 4 places. More than that and nobody reads past the first three.
- Use a ranked poll so each person orders the options. The winner is the place with the broadest support, not just the biggest faction.
- Set a deadline of a few hours, then book the winner.
Handling dietary needs
Check allergies and diets before you shortlist, so every option is genuinely possible. Add one line to the poll question such as "all options have vegetarian dishes".
Make it a habit
- Keep a list of favourite spots and reuse it for each outing.
- Rotate who proposes the shortlist so the choosing is shared.
- Check the date first with a find-a-time poll, then the place.

Frequently asked questions
Should I use a ranked poll or a normal poll?
A ranked poll when several options are fine for people. A normal poll when you want a quick yes for one choice.
Can guests vote without an account?
Yes.
How long should the poll run?
A few hours is plenty for a same-day meal; a day for a weekend plan.
